Wash and Mark Shirts

How to Wash & Mark Your Shirts

WASH:

First, wash and dry your shirts. This will freshen them up, especially if they’ve been sitting for a while or stored in a basement or attic.

___

MARK using blue painter's tape:

Mark your shirts using the steps below. Please use blue painter’s tape for marking your shirts. If you don’t have painter’s tape, you can use paper and a safety pin to add a note to the shirts.

Please do NOT use post it notes for marking your shirts. They are guaranteed to fall off in delivery. Please do NOT use masking tape or duct tape to mark your shirts, these are guaranteed to leave a residue or if place over graphics, pull pieces of the graphics off when removed.

STEPS:

Using painter’s tape, follow these steps:

  • No tape :
No tape is needed on shirts that you want both front/back/sleeves used.

  • Painter’s tape notes:
You can place a piece of painter’s tape on the shirt with instructions such as “use front only” or “use back only” or “place this in the center”, etc. If you’d like to “X” out the portion you don’t want used with painter’s tape, you can do that as well. Please note that any portion that is marked “do not use” or “x’d” out will not be saved.

  • If it’s not crossed out with painter’s tape, we will use that portion of the shirt. Do NOT outline the portion of the shirt that you want used with painter’s tape.
